My story

Introducing Tricia Duffy

A few years ago I set out on a journey to change my life, to find a creative balance. I was working as a media consultant, helping creative organisations to achieve success. I  noticed that the organisations with long term plans, those who were able to articulate their vision way into the future tended to get better results, and they were also more agile and able to react on a daily basis.  I wondered what would happen if we applied the same thinking to our personal lives. I have spent thousands of hours researching the ways in which we can all achieve a better creative balance and I am distilling everything I have learned into a podcast and a set of free resources so that you can do the same.  My creative passion of choice is music, I am a songwriter and I have a musical alter ego Little Lore.  What ever your passion, whether it be metalwork, dance, writing, acting, painting, glass blowing, photography, woodcraft, origami and many more besides, you are most welcome here.

TESTIMONIALS

"I’ve been lucky to know Tricia for a while and she really is the Fairy Godmother of creativity. She was the first person to introduce me to friends as an ‘artist’ rather than my day job identity and her philosophy made question what was important to me.” Joey Fenn - Artist

"I listen to Tricia's podcasts regularly and repeatedly. There is always something new to find in each episode. Her vision and beliefs are helping me to put in place the ways of being and doing that will see me through the next ten years of my life in a way that is both rewarding and celebratory of who I am. Tricia's voice is one I listen to and follow because she is knowledgeable - she has done the research thoroughly - she is articulate - finding words that engage the emotions in me that will drive action - and, most importantly, she is credible - she has lived this experience, she models what she shares with us. So I guess I just want to say, thank you."  Mike Rawlins - Songwriter

"'
A good song is written but a great song is re-written.’ When Tricia Duffy quoted this in Episode 5 of her thought-provoking podcast In Ten Years Time, inspiration hit. I stopped in the street, ditched the grocery shopping I was about to do, turned around and ran back home to rework my short story - not for the sake of it but because I realised immediately what had been holding me back from getting my prose fiction to work. I was scared of changing all of the work I’d put into the project, scared of never finishing. But deep down I knew the story wasn’t quite right. So I made myself re-frame the writing challenge as creative experimentation. And the result? A piece of fiction that’s entirely new, a little wild and thoroughly me."  Kapu Lewis - Author
